C2.0. Overview

This component displays information about the symmetry of the selected crystal and calculates the angular relationships and periodic lengths between crystal planes and zone axes. The “Number” in the upper left shows the serial number of the space group (conforming to ITA) and, if there are variations related to the centering position or axis transformation for that space group, auxiliary numbers are also displayed.


C2.1. Group info

Displays the crystal system, Laue group, and point group to which the space group of the selected crystal belongs. Various notation formats (Hermann-Mauguin notation, Schoenflies notation, Hall notation) are listed.


C2.2. Conditions

Displays the reflection conditions for crystal planes related to the space group of the selected crystal. Only general conditions are displayed.
Additionally, the translational symmetry elements associated with each reflection condition are shown at the end.


C2.3. Wyckoff Positions

Displays the Wyckoff positions for the space group of the selected crystal.


C2.4. Geometrics Calculation

Calculates the periodic length of a specified crystal plane or zone axis. Alternatively, calculates the angle between two crystal planes, two zone axes, or between a crystal plane and a zone axis.
